Feeding Intervention

Eating is one of the most challenging daily activities a person participates in. At My Pediatric OT Services, we follow a child’s lead while finding opportunities to challenge and move the child along the food continuum to aid in their comfort level around foods while also increasing food repertoire.

A child may benefit from feeding therapy if they are experiencing:

  • Food aversions
  • Difficulty chewing and clearing their mouths (i.e. stuffing)
  • Gagging at the sight/smells/touch of certain foods
  • Delays in oral motor development or oral motor weakness
  • Mealtime avoidance
  • Food selectiveness
  • ARFID

Many of our occupational therapists have expertise and trainings in:

  • SOS Approach to Feeding
  • ARFID: The Anxious Eater
