Justine Callanan
Occupational Therapist Registered/Licensed
At a young age, Justine knew she wanted to pursue a career that allowed her to work with both families and children. Justine earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Rehabilitation and Disability Studies and went on to complete her Masters of Education in Occupational Therapy through Springfield College.
Over the years, Justine has had the opportunity to work with children and families through Early Intervention Programs, Massachusetts public school systems, and outpatient clinics. Her previous work and life experiences are what led her to find her niche at My Pediatric OT Services.
Working at the clinic allows Justine to grow and develop her skills as a clinician by implementing several treatment approaches and modalities while working closely with her colleagues. Justine sees the value in collaborating with other professionals and believes that a team approach best supports the families and clients she is honored to work with. Combining her knowledge and hands-on experience has been the driving force to extend her reach to the community and bring self-regulation strategies into the classrooms at both public and private preschools.
Educating teachers, parents, colleagues, and clients has always been a passion for Justine and she is thrilled to take on this next endeavor. Justine has certifications in The Listening Program, iLS, SOS Feeding Therapy, Handwriting Without Tears and ARFID. She has also attended several Social Thinking workshops, Executive Functioning seminars, and Sensory Processing courses.
When she’s not working Justine is kept busy by her 3 children. They frequent many local playgrounds, enjoy spending time at the beach and you can always find them sampling all the pastries at local bakeries; whoopie pies are certainly a favorite in the Callanan household! 🏖️
