Rachel Medeiros, COTA/L
Occupational Therapist Assistant/Licensed
Rachel is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant licensed in the state of Massachusetts, and also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Rhode Island College. Rachel has always had a passion for caring for and working with children of all ages.
For 6 years, she worked 1:1 providing Home Based Therapeutic Services (HBTS) and Personal Assistance and Supports (PASS). This was rewarding, as it brought Rachel further into the environment of working with kids with special needs and supporting their families. She’s provided therapeutic services for children with a wide range of disabilities, within the home and community settings, and also has school-based occupational therapy experience.
As an occupational therapy student at New England Institute of Technology, Rachel completed her Level 2 fieldwork internship at My Pediatric OT Services. She valued every aspect of working with such a knowledgeable, supportive, and caring group of practitioners. In 2018, she graduated Magna Cum Lade from New England Institute of technology, and was excited to immediately join the team at My Pediatric OT Services. Rachel is trained in SOS Feeding therapy, Handwriting Without Tears, and the Social Thinking and Zones of Regulation programs.
Rachel is a mom of two boys, and loves all things planning and organizing. Wherever she can find some free time to slip away, she always ends up back at Target or TJ Maxx for some retail therapy. Rachel’s favorite dessert is chocolate chip cookies and doesn’t go a day without at least one! 🍪
